"[...] Egyre rosszabb anyagi helyzetbe került, reménytelennek látszó helyzetén a jezsuita rend feloszlatása (1773) után az egyetemi könyvtár átszervezésével is megbízott Ürményi József udvari tanácsos (1741–1825) segített. [...] lcsészdoktori címet szerzett. Előbb könyvtári írnok, majd 1781-től könyvtári segédőr lett. Tíz éven át dolgozott az egyetemi könyvtárban, ahol nem volt könnyű helyzetben a már fentebb röviden felvillantott társadalmi-politikai helyzet miatt. Az intézmény vezetése ugyanis két pártra oszlott.

1948-ban az ELTE Bölcsészkarára iratkozott be német-francia szakra, a II. évtől német-történelem szakos lett, 1952-ben szerzett tanári oklevelet. Tudományos kutatómunkát végzett az Országos Levéltárban, majd az Egyetemi Könyvtárban, ezután a Népművelési Minisztérium központi iskolája levelező tanszékére került. Mivel önéletrajzába nem írta be, hogy egyik nagynénje Jugoszláviában él, munkahelyéről 1953-ban elbocsájtották. A Marx Károly Közgazdaságtudományi Egyetemen helyezkedett el nyelvtanárként.

Schönvisner István élete és tudományos munkássága

"[...] Ebben az évben, 1777 áprilisában nevezték ki Schönvisnert – ahogy önéletrajzában írja, isteni gondviselésből – az Egyetemi Könyvtár másodőrévé. Ettől kezdve egészen élete végéig a könyvtár munkatársa volt, ahol szorgalmával, valamint hatalmas tudásával kiemelkedve, a ranglétrán egyre feljebb haladva 1794-től már igazgatóként működött. [...]"

Vodkát nem tartunk a könyvtárban, de például az Egyetemi Könyvtár közelében számos vendéglátóhely található. :)

Tisztelt Könyvtár Szolgálat! A SciFinder adatbázis elérésével kapcsolatban érdeklődöm. Egyetemi hálózatról próbáltam belépni, a bejelentkezéshez caesar azonosítót és jelszót megadva, de nem működött. Hogy tudnám a legegyszerűbben elérni az adatbázist?
