Online Renewal Via OPAC

Open our online catalogue (OPAC) and choose the Sign-in option at the top of the menu bar which will lead you to the identification screen.
You can find your Sign-in User ID/ Barcode written on your library card (i.e. ELTE library card numbers are: 30000000XXXXXX, (X-s are the numbers on your library card)), or you can use your student ID-card number. The password is your date of birth in YYYYMMDD form. This password is given automatically during registration, and it is advised to change it later for security reasons.
After successful signing in, you are automatically directed to „My library card” page, where you can find your personal information, as well as a list of your borrowed books. Clicking on the number behind your borrowed books will bring up a list of all your borrowed books, with their information, expiration date etc.
On your list, you should see an empty checkbox behind every book that you borrowed. In order to extend the loan period of your books, click in that empty box which then should show a tick inside it. After this, you can find the ”Renew Selected” option at the top of the menu bar. You can also choose the ”Renew All” option that extends the loan period of all your borrowed books. If you already use your option to extend the loan period twice, or if the borrowed book has advance booking, you will not be able to extend the loand period.
