About
us
The Faculty Council has decided to establish a collection for professors and students in 1957. Building up the Library started with the departmental (former seminar) collections, the so-called national book collection of the National Széchényi Library, and with buying antiquarian and new books. A 54-seat reading room was created from former lecture rooms on the ground floor of the Faculty. The University decided to extend the Library in 1993. The reading room, with the adjoining rooms, workplaces and the depository was finished in the summer of 1998. In its reading room of 150 seats the Library provides access to specialised literature, reading, research and learning facilities for professors and students alike. The Library offers on-site reading only; its collection may not be borrowed. The Faculty Library collects and explores historical and recent handbooks, monographs, textbooks and periodicals of Hungarian legal and administrative sciences. It collects legal theory and legal history monographs and handbooks of states of the European law system as well as their statute books and periodicals in the following languages: English. German, French. The Library seeks to procure synoptic and most valuable works of related sciences such as philosophy, sociology, statistics, political sciences, Hungarian and world history. Bibliographies, encyclopaedias, lexicons and dictionaries of the reference library support research and provide general information. The library stock contains app. 50.000 volumes of books and bound periodicals. The number of Hungarian and foreign periodical titles is app. 300. The Library offers: internet connection, wifi (online registration required), free scanning (pendrive), 40 computers, international databases. Librarians speak English, German.

SPECIALISED EURÓPA PONT LIBRARY
Staff are on hand to welcome visitors to the library in the gallery of the Európa Pont building on weekdays between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. It has a collection of around 3400 books and official publications on the European Union (to be accessed on site – we don’t lend them out). Vodkát nem tartunk a könyvtárban, de például az Egyetemi Könyvtár közelében számos vendéglátóhely található. :)
Tisztelt Könyvtár Szolgálat! A SciFinder adatbázis elérésével kapcsolatban érdeklődöm. Egyetemi hálózatról próbáltam belépni, a bejelentkezéshez caesar azonosítót és jelszót megadva, de nem működött. Hogy tudnám a legegyszerűbben elérni az adatbázist?
