Egy belvárosi palota, amely könyvek számára a készült – 145 éve adták át az Egyetemi Könyvtárat

ˇA belváros közepén, a Ferenciek terén található Egyetemi Könyvtár palotája az első olyan épület az országban, amely kifejezetten könyvtárolás céljára készült. Építése a városegyesítés évében kezdődött, a hivatalos átadóünnepséget pedig 145 évvel ezelőtt, 1876. március 26-án tartották. Tervezője a fiatal Szkalnitzky Antal volt, aki a historizáló stílusú könyvtárpalotát igazi összművészeti alkotásként képzelte el: az olvasótermet Lotz Károly freskói díszítik, a homlokzati sgraffitókat Than Mór készítette.

Vodkát nem tartunk a könyvtárban, de például az Egyetemi Könyvtár közelében számos vendéglátóhely található. :)

Tisztelt Könyvtár Szolgálat! A SciFinder adatbázis elérésével kapcsolatban érdeklődöm. Egyetemi hálózatról próbáltam belépni, a bejelentkezéshez caesar azonosítót és jelszót megadva, de nem működött. Hogy tudnám a legegyszerűbben elérni az adatbázist?
