Lotz Károly, a 19. század második felének egyik legismertebb magyar festőművésze 110 éve halt meg

"Lotz Károly, a 19. század második felének egyik legismertebb magyar festőművésze 110 éve, 1904. október 13-án halt meg. 1833. december 16-án született a németországi Bad Homburg vor der Höhében. Négyéves volt, amikor magas rangú német hivatalnok édesapja meghalt. Magyar édesanyjával, Höfflich Antóniával és hat testvérével visszaköltözött Magyarországra. Rajztehetségére már korán felfigyeltek, eleinte szobrásznak készült, később festeni is tanult. 1852-ben Bécsbe ment, ahol Karl Rahl festőművész tanítványa lett.

80 éve alakult meg a Magyar Könyvtárosok és Levéltárosok Egyesülete

"80 éve, 1935. június 26-án alakult meg Budapesten a Magyar Könyvtárosok és Levéltárosok Egyesülete. A szervezet a ma is működő Magyar Könyvtárosok Egyesületének jogelődje, alapításának gondolata először 1929 kora nyarán vetődött fel. Több mint három évnek kellett eltelnie, míg 1932. október 15-én az Egyetemi Könyvtár akkori igazgatója, Pasteiner Iván a könyvtárában tartott ülésen előterjesztette az egyesület alapszabályának tervezetét, és javasolta a levéltárosok bevonását a további munkába. Az alakuló ülésre 1935. június 26-án a Magyar Tudományos Akadémián került sor.

Hadrovics László állami díjas nyelvész, irodalomtörténész, akadémikus 105 éve született

"Hadrovics László állami díjas nyelvész, irodalomtörténész, akadémikus 105 éve, 1910. június 27-én született. Alsólendván (ma: Lendva, Szlovénia) jött a világra, a Monarchia összeomlása után családjával Lentiben, később Hévízszentandráson élt, majd végül Keszthelyen telepedett le. A kőszegi bencés gimnáziumban és a keszthelyi premontreieknél tanult, utóbbi helyen érettségizett. A Pázmány Péter Tudományegyetem magyar-latin-német szakán tanult tovább. Tagja lett az Eötvös Kollégiumnak, akkor kezdett érdeklődni a szlavisztika iránt.

Vodkát nem tartunk a könyvtárban, de például az Egyetemi Könyvtár közelében számos vendéglátóhely található. :)

Tisztelt Könyvtár Szolgálat! A SciFinder adatbázis elérésével kapcsolatban érdeklődöm. Egyetemi hálózatról próbáltam belépni, a bejelentkezéshez caesar azonosítót és jelszót megadva, de nem működött. Hogy tudnám a legegyszerűbben elérni az adatbázist?
